Getting Your Fix

So, if you're like me, last night left you with a hole. It's the type of hole that resides in your heart and only grows over time, the type of hole that only something magical can ever fill (phrasing). I'm speaking, of course, of the hole left by last night's Game of Thrones finale. It was great and wonderful and awesome and all the other things we love to say about well-made television/fantasy/entertainment. But it's over. The season is finished, and now our watch has ended.

So, the hole. You need something. We all do. Summer television isn't the best. I love watching baseball, and there are a few shows out there just waiting to be found and binge-watched (for me, it's currently The Americans). But the options are always limited.

With that in mind, I'd like to command recommend that you give The Kinmark Saga a try. If you're comfortable with a certain amount of truth-acrobatics, feel free to consider it basically a shorter version of A Song of Ice and Fire. One has Jon Snow, the other has occasional snow. One has dragons, the other mentions dragons. One is a worldwide phenomenon, the other is mine. The similarities continue on forever, but the important thing is that you go to that link on the right under "Amazon Author Page" and start reading for yourself. I won't promise that you won't be disappointed, but I will promise that I won't be.

Of course, you could always just go get some fresh air, go swimming or hiking or fishing, do something that will actually be good for your body. But why do that when you can read a book?
