Have you missed me?/Do you want a free book?

You haven't missed me and my ramblings? That's alright. I'm sure you'll come around eventually. If, however, you're one of the few who are already willing to admit that my writing is the highlight of your life, you can take solace in my lack of blogging by assuming that I've been wisely using that time to write book 3, The True Believer. It's only slightly untrue. I HAVE been writing after all. I just haven't been as productive as I might like to be. Still, I see nothing to indicate that it won't be ready around the beginning of 2016.

I have a reason for this post, and I'll get to it. But I want to talk for a moment about this next book. It's more about me getting my thoughts down than it is about saying anything you'll really care about. In other words, if you don't want to read about my writing process, skip ahead to the last paragraph to find out how to enter to win a free paperback copy of The Last Kinmark.

Still reading cause you're bored at work? I'm here for you! So, here's the thing about book 3 (In case you're wondering, I just think of my books in terms of numbers. Titles are nice and pretty things, but they're too inefficient for a mind that can barely think in full sentences.), anyways, book 3 is... complicated. If you've read books 1 and 2 (that's a hint that there are spoilers coming), you know that the scene of this tale got bigger in the latter. We looked at various storylines on a continent as big as the continental US. Ahkdo and Kiv, who made up the majority of book 1, were joined by several other major characters and all received roughly equal "pagetime" in book 2. But those major characters, Zila and Marty and Mad Jack's squad, all had their own separate storylines. Well, as you might expect, those threads have to eventually come together. Those wheels are turning in book 3, and it's presenting a bit of a challenge for me as I write. I was never much of a juggler, but I imagine this is what it feels like. And to top it all off, there are actually even more characters to introduce and make you all care about. So like I said, it's a challenge. But in a very good way. Law school was hard and boring. Writing is hard and entertaining. It's a lot better, and I can't wait to share another installment in this story with you all.

Whether you read that long paragraph or not, I have an offer for you. If you're on Goodreads, I'm doing a giveaway for The Last Kinmark over the next week. It's my first time, and I just want to see how it all works, so I'm only giving away a single copy. But the good news is that you only need one copy! Anyway, here's the link. I'm sure you have to be on Goodreads to enter. If you are a member there (or if you sign up because of this post), be sure to rate and review my books! Also, do so on Amazon! It'd be a HUGE help! Exclamations!!!

I'd be remiss if I didn't remind you, yet again, that the Amazon links to both books are on the upper right of your screen under "Click to Buy."
